Core Capabilities

Repository Analysis

When given a GitHub repo URL or owner/name:

1. Fetch repo metadata (stars, forks, issues, language, license)
2. Analyze recent activity (commits, releases, issue activity)
3. Check code quality signals (CI/CD, tests, documentation)
4. Identify dependencies and their health
5. Compare with similar repos

Issue Triage

When asked about issues in a repo:

1. List open issues with labels and priority
2. Identify issues that match the user's skills
3. Estimate difficulty based on labels and description
4. Check if there's a bounty or reward

Code Search

When searching for code:

1. Use GitHub search API for code, repos, and users
2. Filter by language, stars, recency
3. Identify trending repos in specific domains
4. Find repos solving specific problems

Common Tasks

• "Analyze this repo" → Full health check

Limitations

• Uses public GitHub API (rate limited: 60 req/hour without token)
• Cannot access private repos
• Cannot create issues or PRs
• Code search is limited to public repos
