UGC & Influencer

Try it

UGC and influencer marketing — paid or gifted creator partnerships, briefs, usage rights, and disclosure done right. Use when someone wants to run an influencer campaign, sponsored post, paid or gifted creator partnership, write a creator brief, license/whitelist creator content, source customer UGC, or build a UGC pipeline. Vets creators on engagement + audience quality (not follower count); briefs with guardrails not scripts; inks usage rights up front; enforces FTC/ASA disclosure on EVERY paid AND gifted post; runs the customer-UGC pipeline. Uses the BRIEF framework. Reads brand-profile + goals-and-kpis first. WoopSocial publishes the BRAND'S OWN posts (rights-cleared UGC reshares, campaign posts) — NOT creator DMs/payment/whitelisting/contracts. Undisclosed sponsorship = decline and correct; a tag is not usage permission. Distinct from collabs-and-cross-promotion (mutual, unpaid), creator-monetization (the creator's side), and social-proof-and-testimonials (UGC as proof content).

The skill document

ugc-and-influencer

The brand→creator skill — source and vet the creators, write the brief, ink the rights, enforce the disclosure, and run the UGC pipeline. The agent advises + drafts + plans; WoopSocial publishes the brand's own posts (rights-cleared UGC reshares, campaign posts); outreach, contracts, payment, ads and the creator's post are native/human.

The POV: you're buying trust — don't sand it off, and never hide that you bought it

An influencer post works because the audience trusts the creator, not you. Two failure modes kill that: over-scripting (a brief that dictates every word produces an ad with worse production values — brief the guardrails, let the creator speak in their own voice) and hiding the deal (undisclosed sponsorship is illegal — FTC in the US, ASA/CMA in the UK — and gifted product counts: free stuff is a material connection). The other counter-intuitions that separate top-1% programs: engagement + audience quality beat follower count (micro-creators routinely out-convert macros per dollar; fake followers are rampant — vet before you pay), rights don't come with the invoice (paying for a post buys the post, not reuse or whitelisting — license usage explicitly, in writing, before publication), and your cheapest UGC engine is customers you already have — ask, get consent, credit.

Read these first

  1. brand-profile — niche, audience, values, claims you can legally make (for creator fit + brief).
  2. goals-and-kpis — what the campaign must move (awareness vs conversion changes creator tier + format).

The framework: BRIEF

(Depth: references/the-brief-framework.md.)

  • B — Base the pick on fit + real audience: vet on niche/values fit, engagement rate, audience authenticity (fake-follower red flags) and past brand work — not follower count; choose micro vs macro by goal.
  • R — Run a brief that guides, not scripts: one page — the goal, the mandatories (key message, disclosure, claims/don'ts), hooks that worked, and explicit creative freedom. No word-for-word scripts.
  • I — Ink rights + whitelisting up front: usage scope, channels, duration, edits, exclusivity, and whitelisting/Spark Ads permission agreed in writing before content is made. A tag is not a license.
  • E — Enforce disclosure, every post: clear + conspicuous #ad / paid-partnership label on every paid AND gifted post, upfront not buried. Non-negotiable — undisclosed = decline and correct.
  • F — Feed the UGC pipeline + measure: ask customers, secure consent + rights, credit the creator, reshare via the brand's accounts; measure per-creator (engagement, saves, tracked clicks/codes) — never fabricated.

The reality (verify-quarterly)

Trust economics (UGC/creator content out-trusts branded; micro vs macro engagement + CPM math); the creator tiers (nano→mega) and when each wins; the "UGC creator" hire (content-only, no posting) as a distinct deal; fake-follower prevalence + vetting checks; platform machinery (IG paid-partnership label + partnership ads / whitelisting, TikTok Creator Marketplace + Spark Ads, YouTube paid-promotion flag, LinkedIn BrandWorks); regulator posture (FTC endorsement guides + civil penalties, ASA/CMA "#ad upfront", gifted-counts rule, EU transparency, AI/virtual-influencer disclosure): references/ugc-and-influencer-2026-reality.md. The brief template, rights/whitelisting term sheet, disclosure rules by platform + the gifted-product decision table: references/briefs-rights-and-disclosure.md.

Honest scope (never violate)

  • The agent defines the creator spec + vetting checklist, drafts the outreach, the one-page brief, the rights/usage term sheet (a checklist, not legal advice — a human/lawyer signs), the UGC ask (comment/DM/email copy), and the brand's reshare posts.
  • WoopSocial publishes the BRAND'S OWN posts — rights-cleared UGC reshares (credited) and the brand's campaign posts. It does NOT: DM/negotiate with creators (no DM surface), pay creators or manage contracts, run whitelisting/Spark Ads/partnership ads (native ad managers), apply the native paid-partnership label (the creator toggles it natively), post to a creator's account, or verify followers.
  • Disclosure is a hard rule: every paid or gifted post carries clear, upfront disclosure. Asked to skip or bury the #ad → decline and correct. Never buy followers/engagement or fake creator metrics; never repost UGC without consent + rights (a tag isn't permission; paid use needs broader rights — likeness included); metrics never fabricated. (Full scope: references/scope-and-connections.md.)

Distinct from its siblings (route correctly)

ugc-and-influencer (this) = brand→creator: paid/gifted, licensed, disclosed + the customer-UGC pipeline · collabs-and-cross-promotion = creator-to-creator MUTUAL partnership (unpaid, both promote — no money/product changed hands) · creator-monetization = the same deal from the creator's side (their income/rates/media kit) · social-proof-and-testimonials = turns the resulting UGC/reviews into objection-matched proof content (this feeds it) · interactive-content = the challenge/Add-Yours mechanics (its UGC rights route here) · campaign-and-launch-planning = the campaign wrapper creator moments sit inside.

Where this connects

Reads first: brand-profile, goals-and-kpis (+ audience-research for who your buyers already trust). Feeds true material to: social-proof-and-testimonials (UGC as proof), storytelling-and-narrative (customer stories). Pairs with: caption-writer/hook-writer (the brand's reshare posts), community-management (spots organic UGC in the wild), interactive-content (challenges that generate UGC), social-selling-and-dm (the outreach conversation, human-run), linkedin-company-pages (B2B creator programs). Orchestrated by: campaign-and-launch-planning; content-calendar slots the UGC cadence. Publishes via: scheduling-and-queue → WoopSocial (brand's own posts only) + platform-specs-and-validation. Measures with: analytics-and-reporting + tracked links/codes per creator; experimentation-and-ab-testing (creative variants). Contracts, payment, ads + the creator's own post stay native/human.

Definition of done

Creators sourced against a written spec and vetted on fit + engagement + audience authenticity (fake-follower checks run) rather than follower count, with the micro/macro tier chosen by goal; a one-page brief that fixes the goal, mandatories, claims/don'ts and disclosure but leaves the voice to the creator; usage rights, duration, channels, exclusivity and any whitelisting agreed in writing before content exists; clear, upfront FTC/ASA-compliant disclosure on every paid AND gifted post (undisclosed = declined and corrected); the customer-UGC pipeline running ask → consent + rights → credit → reshare; the brand's own posts published via WoopSocial with contracts/payment/ads/creator posts left native-human; per-creator results read from tracked links and native analytics (never fabricated); and the case correctly routed against collabs-and-cross-promotion, creator-monetization, and social-proof-and-testimonials.

Related skills

Creator collabs and cross-promotion — organic creator-to-creator partnerships that swap audiences. Use when someone wants to set up a collab, audience swap, cross-promotion, shoutout swap, joint giveaway, guest spot, joint video/series, a YouTube/IG collab post, or co-promo with another creator. Picks a complementary, similar-size, values-aligned partner, agrees the plan before creating, and co-creates shared-value content (not a bare shoutout) on a coordinated schedule. Uses the UNITE framework. Reads brand-profile + goals-and-kpis first. WoopSocial publishes each partner's OWN posts to their OWN accounts; it does NOT create native IG Collab co-authored posts, run giveaways, duet/stitch, or manage the agreement. A pure mutual collab isn't a sponsorship, but payment/free product makes it one -> disclose -> ugc-and-influencer; partnerships must be genuine; metrics never fabricated. Distinct from ugc-and-influencer (brand->creator) and creator-monetization (the creator's income).

Creator monetization — build a diversified revenue portfolio from an audience: memberships, products, brand deals, platform payouts. Use when someone wants to "make money as a creator," "monetize my audience," "start a membership/community," "sell a course/digital product," "get brand deals / set my rates," or build diversified creator income. Builds a revenue STACK rather than chasing a viral payout, using the STACK framework. Reads brand-profile + goals-and-kpis first. WoopSocial does NOT process payments, host products/memberships, or pay creators: the agent chooses/sequences streams, designs offers + media kit, and drafts promo posts; WoopSocial publishes the promo/launch posts; infrastructure is external; income is never promised or fabricated; sponsorships are disclosed (FTC). Distinct from email-and-newsletter (the owned channel), lead-magnets-and-funnels (funnel mechanics), and ugc-and-influencer (the BRAND side of creator deals — this is the creator side).
