Manage Jobber field-service records—clients, jobs, invoices, quotes, properties, team members—via GraphQL with managed OAuth.

What it does

Calls the Jobber GraphQL API through the Maton gateway at https://api.maton.ai/jobber/graphql using a Maton API key as the Bearer token. Supports account lookup and listing or creating clients, jobs, invoices, quotes, properties, requests, users, and custom fields, plus Relay cursor pagination and webhook event subscriptions. Read and list calls run by default; create, update, and delete operations require explicit user approval before execution. Multiple Jobber connections can be targeted with the Maton-Connection header.

When to use it

  • Pulling a paginated list of clients or invoices from a connected Jobber account
  • Creating a service job or quote for an existing client
  • Looking up account info, users, properties, or custom fields
  • Subscribing to webhook events such as JOB_COMPLETE or INVOICE_CREATE

API Type

Jobber uses a GraphQL API exclusively. All requests are POST requests to the /graphql endpoint with a JSON body containing the query field.

Base URL

https://api.maton.ai/jobber/graphql

Maton proxies requests to api.getjobber.com/api/graphql and automatically injects your OAuth token and API version header.

Authentication

All requests require the Maton API key in the Authorization header:

Authorization: Bearer $MATON_API_KEY

Maton automatically injects the X-JOBBER-GRAPHQL-VERSION header (currently 2025-04-16).

Specifying Connection

If you have multiple Jobber connections, specify which one to use with the Maton-Connection header:

If you have multiple connections, always include this header to ensure requests go to the intended account.

Security & Permissions

  • Access is scoped to clients, jobs, invoices, quotes, properties, and team members for field service businesses within the connected Jobber account.
  • All write operations require explicit user approval. Before executing any create, update, or delete call, confirm the target resource and intended effect with the user.

Webhooks

Jobber supports webhooks for real-time event notifications:

  • CLIENT_CREATE - New client created
  • JOB_COMPLETE - Job marked complete
  • QUOTE_CREATE - New quote created
  • QUOTE_APPROVAL - Quote approved
  • REQUEST_CREATE - New request created
  • INVOICE_CREATE - New invoice created
  • APP_CONNECT - App connected

Webhooks include HMAC-SHA256 signatures for verification.

Notes

  • Jobber uses GraphQL exclusively (no REST API)
  • Maton automatically injects the X-JOBBER-GRAPHQL-VERSION header
  • Current gateway API version: 2025-04-16 (latest)
  • Old API versions are supported for 12-18 months from release
  • Use the GraphiQL explorer in Jobber's Developer Center for schema discovery
  • IDs use EncodedId type (base64 encoded) - pass as strings
  • Field naming: use emails/phones (arrays), jobStatus/invoiceStatus/quoteStatus/requestStatus
  • Rate limits:
    • DDoS protection: 2,500 requests per 5 minutes per app/account
    • Query cost: Points-based using leaky bucket algorithm (max 10,000 points, restore 500/sec)
  • Avoid deeply nested queries to reduce query cost
  • IMPORTANT: When piping curl output to jq or other commands, environment variables like $MATON_API_KEY may not expand correctly in some shell environments

Troubleshooting: API Key Issues

  1. Check that the MATON_API_KEY environment variable is set:
